MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION AND BENEFITS

We welcome all tax-deductible contributions, and every donor becomes a Member of SOIL Sangre de Cristo! Here's how membership works:

General Membership: Contributions of any amount grant membership.
Voting Membership: Members who contribute $250 or more gain voting privileges to help decide on 0% interest loan awards.
Food Producers & Entrepreneurs: Join with voting privileges for just $25.

Membership Duration: Membership is valid for one year. To continue, simply renew at any level annually.

Benefits of Membership

Voting Rights: Members at the $250 level or higher have one vote per membership, regardless of their total annual contribution.
Quarterly Meetings: Voting Members are invited to quarterly meetings to review loan applications and participate in awarding new loans.
Monthly Gatherings: All Members are encouraged to attend monthly meetings to stay connected and engaged.
Special Events: Members may be invited to exclusive events and activities, fostering a stronger, more cohesive community.

TESTIMONIAL - Rocky Mountain Garlic

Rocky Mountain Garlic received a 0% interest loan from SOIL Sangre de Cristo in October of 2020. With these monies we have been empowered to grow our operation in new ways. We are expanding the vegetables we grow at the farm. Adding more root crops as well as lettuce, peas, cabbage and kohlrabi. The loan gave us funds for a better washing station for these new crops. The loan also funded an 8’X8’ foot refrigeration space to hold the vegetables at their preferred temperature. This helps us deliver a much fresher, longer lasting product. With these new improvements we are poised to fill the market with local, fresh, nutritious vegetables. We offer a sincere thank you to SOIL Sangre de Cristo and all of its members.
